What Is the Gospel?

The word Gospel means “Good News.” And it truly is good news, because it tells us how much God loves us.

God made us to know Him and live in a close relationship with Him. He created everything and cares deeply about every person.

But we’ve all sinned. Sin is when we choose our own way instead of God’s way. It separates us from Him and brings hurt into our lives and the world.

God didn’t leave us there. He sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sin, and rose again to give us new life.

Through Jesus, we can be forgiven. When we turn away from sin and put our trust in Him, we’re made right with God and begin a new life with Him that never ends.
